Buildings are important end-users of electricity. Under the goal of carbon neutrality, the “trinity” of electricity production, consumption, regulation and storage will be realized. The electrification of vehicles (especially private cars) is an important measure for carbon neutrality in the transportation sector, and it is also expected to become an important regulation and storage resource available in the future power system. Buildings and electric vehicles are important end-users of electric power and have highly synchronous usage characteristics. When they work together, they can realize complementary advantages and achieve good interaction with the electric power system. How to realize the friendly interaction between vehicles, buildings and grids, how to give full play to the resources potential of buildings and vehicles as flexible loads of power systems, and how to effectively regulate and dispatch buildings, vehicles and power systems to achieve energy interaction are important questions that need to be answered. In this paper, the research progress of the above issues is analysed, and the future research that needs to be carried out is prospected, in order to provide a reference for further research and exploration of collaborative interaction between vehicles, buildings and grids.
